By default anything you post appears on your global profile timeline as well as global feed.
Your global profile is for public consumption, though not data you have decided not to share with others in your general setting such as gender, address, date of birth, etc. Generally, your posts are visible to anyone who visits your global profile or other pages you have created. However,
- If you have a friends list on HeyJinni, all friends will see your posts in global feed by default (they do not need to visit your global profile to see your posts).
- If you have WOW booster applied to a post it will appear on global feed.
- Your post has received enough comments and/or reactions and landed itself in “Viral Posts”. Here everyone can see your posts unless you have a privacy option applied to your posts such as “Only Me” or “My Friends”. You cannot prevent a post from going into Viral Posts by disabling comments on a post alone as likes are enough to set the post on fire! If you do not want to see your post going viral, you should apply “Only Me” or “My Friends”.
- You have applied the “Anonymous” privacy option to your post as all Anonymous posts appear in Feed by default. An Anonymous post is a post that claims to be from an unknown source. The details of the Jinni member who posted the post is masked by the system (anonymised).
- Group posts will appear in Feed and are visible to members of the Group in question, but much depends on applied privacy options (public/private). If a private Group, then posts in Feed will be visible to Group members only. If a public Group, then posts will be visible to Everyone.
- You have Pages posts. Any Pages posts not applied with a “Liked my Page” privacy option will be visible to everyone in Feed.
- Marketplace products appear in Feed as well as the Marketplace until you remove the products.
- Any Job postings will appear in Pages, Feed, and Job Marketplace, until you remove the Job posts.
- Any Blaze post shared to your global profile will appear in Feed. However, not all Blaze posts can be shared to global feed. Posts that can be shared to global feed will have a HeyJinni share button on or next to the posts, which you can select to share. Otherwise, all Blaze posts stay on Blaze for subscribers and followers of your Video Channel to view and interact with. Blaze is a special monetisation service with its own requirements. For more on Blaze, please see HeyJinni Blaze.
- Any Flame post shared to your global profile timeline will appear in Feed. However, not all Flame posts can be shared to your timeline. Posts that can be shared to HeyJinni Feed will have a HeyJinni share button on or next to the posts, which you can select to share. Otherwise, all Flame posts stay on your Flame for subscribers and followers of your Flame Music Channel to view and interact with.
- Live stream unless you apply or have applied a privacy option.
- Blog articles appear in global feed.
