HeyJinni Messenger can be used on your computer at heyjinni.com, or by accessing the mobile app on Android and iOS devices. HeyJinni is also releasing a windows desktop version of its Messenger in 2024. We will keep you updated.

  1. Text Messaging:
    • One-on-one and group messaging.
    • Send files, images, and videos.
    • Utilise a variety of built-in emojis, stickers, and GIFs.
    • Change the skin color of your messenger to personalise your experience.
  2. Audio Messaging:
    • Send real-time audio messages for a more dynamic conversation.
  3. Calling:
    • One-on-one voice calling.
    • Group voice calling for interactive discussions.
    • One-on-one video calling.
    • Group video calling for virtual meetings and discussions.
  4. Additional Features:
    • Typing indicator to see when someone is composing a message.
    • Delivered receipts to confirm message receipt.
    • Read receipts to know when your message has been read.
    • Timestamps for message send and read times.

These features make HeyJinni Messenger a versatile communication platform, offering various ways to connect with others. If you have any specific questions or need further details, feel free to ask!

  1. Set Your Privacy Preferences: The first step is to decide who can message you on HeyJinni Messenger. Navigate to your privacy settings and choose from one the messaging options. If you select “Everyone,” anyone can message you. However, assuming you choose “My friends,” proceed to the next step.
  2. Ensure You Have Friends: To start a conversation, you need to have at least one friend on HeyJinni Messenger. Your friends will appear on the messenger contact list.
  3. Access Your Messenger Contact List: After confirming you have friends, go to your messenger contact list. This is where you’ll find the names of your friends.
  4. Initiate the Conversation: To start a conversation, tap on the name of the friend you want to message. This will open the conversation panel.
  5. Send a Message: Once the conversation panel is open, type your message and send it. Now, all you need to do is wait for your friend to reply.

By following these steps, you can easily initiate a conversation on HeyJinni Messenger with your selected privacy settings and established friendships.

  1. Set Your Privacy Preferences: Begin by deciding who can message you on HeyJinni Messenger. Head over to your privacy settings and choose from one of the options. If you opt for “Everyone,” anyone can message you. However, assuming you choose “My friends,” proceed to the next step.
  2. Ensure You Have Friends: To initiate a group conversation, you must have more than one person on your HeyJinni Messenger friends list. Your friends will appear on the messenger contact list.
  3. Access Your Messenger Contact List: After confirming you have friends, go to your messenger contact list. This is where you’ll find the names of your friends.
  4. Start a Group Conversation: To initiate a group conversation, tap on the “Group Chat” tab. Select the “Create Group” button.
  5. Add Members and Customise: In the group creation process, add your friends to the group by selecting their names. Additionally, provide a group name and choose a group thumbnail or image.
  6. Complete the Creation: Confirm the group members, name, and image, then proceed to create the group. The group conversation is now set up.
  7. Message in the Group: Once the group is created, you can start the conversation by typing your message. All members of the group will be able to see and respond to your messages.

With these changes, you can now initiate a group conversation on HeyJinni Messenger by creating a group and adding friends to it.

On the messenger bottom panel, select the circle icon to change skin colour.

Select the file icon to upload images, videos, gifs, stickers, pdfs, and the like.

Click on the file you want to delete, and then click on the delete icon to delete file.

Click on a message you want to delete. Next, click on the delete “icon” that shows next to the message.

To delete a conversation, click on the delete “icon” at the top of any conversation.

If a profile sends you a message on Heyjinni that makes you uncomfortable, you can:

  • Ignore the conversation.
  • Report a threatening message. 
  • Block the user. This specific profile won’t be able to contact you (e.g. send you messages or call you).
  • Delete the conversation. Bear in mind that this won’t delete the conversation from the other profile’s chats list. If you want to report the conversation, take a screenshot before you delete it.
